Originally created by Trappist monks in the Abbaye du Port du Salut, in the Loire Valley in 1816, Port Salut has the distinction of being not only one of Bel’s oldest brands, but also the UK’s best-selling soft speciality cheese.

Chefs appreciate Port Salut’s quality and versatility. Mild, smooth and creamy, it is equally as good on a cheeseboard as it is in a recipe. It contains 20% less fat than cheddar and brings the smooth taste of France to any meal.
